Name Cdt. Christian Tank / F/O Rafael Malle Date 10 Dec 2013
    Aircraft A310-300 Airline German Airforce
Notes: Enroute from Washington to Cologne, inbound Nantucket almost abeam New York, climbing through FL 300 with a good TAS and wind we got a very good GS of 674Kts!!! We were a little bit happy, I don`t know why. Maybe because the forecasted winds were that precise and we could beat a record :-D. Over the Atlantic (FL370) we wondered why we are so slow with about 600Kts GS... :-P. Great day, nice landing Sir!

Notes: Wow. Never had such a rough ride. Somewhere between Beijing and Narita, Tokyo. The 310 has a Turbulance penetration speed of M.78. Could have gone higher but wouldn't have been fun for the folks who paid for the ride.

Name Pedro Cunha Pereira Date 27 Dec 2006
    Aircraft A310-300 Airline Sata International
Notes: Enroute from Boston, Massachusetts to Ponta Delgada, Portugal on Flight RZO220 (Call Sign Azores 220). The winds were nice for a Ground Speed record beat, and at that moment we were deep inside the Jet-Stream. No turbulence by then, but after 45 minutes it started with continued light to medium chops. Photo taken after position 44N040W @ FL350.
