Notes:I was in cruise, with a 100-knot tailwind, showing 291 ground speed, running lean of peak. I had to go for the 300, so I pushed everything forward for a couple of minutes and saw 305 on the Garmin KLN94 and on the Garmin GPSMAP 396.
Flight Aware shows 298 as top.
The ride was smooth, and we were above the clouds. This was exactly the time when Buffalo, NY, was getting pounded with an early snowfall.
The plane has a Tornado Alley Turbo turbonormalizer system, and we were loaded heavy that day. Nice plane! This was the beginning of a 4200-mile journey which took us from Louisiana to Vermont, then NY, then Arizona, and back to Louisiana.
